Emergent Church - Roger Oakland - Faith Undone

Roger Oakland gives an outstanding presentation on the emergent church. After watching this video my heart becomes burdensome for the lost who are buying into this false form of Christianity. I highly suggest watching through the whole thing because it will give you a much deeper understanding how the emergent church is attacking Christianity and making a mockery of God's Word.

Here is a statement from Roger on the emergent church.

In the not-too-distant future, most evangelical pastors will have to decide whether to support or reject the spirituality behind the emerging church. If this movement continues unfolding at the present pace, mainstream Christianity will be completely restructured, and the biblical gospel of Jesus Christ will be considered obsolete. If I believed for one minute that this movement was just another passing whim or the discontent rumblings that so often occur with young people as they search for answers to life, I would never have written this book.

But sad to say, the emerging church is far more than a fleeting fad and much more than the complaints of a group of young leaders. It is indeed a new way of being Christian and its objective is to usher in a new reformation throughout the world.

Those who refuse to embrace this direction will be considered spiritual oddballs that are hindering a unified one-world spirituality that is promoted as the answer for peace and that is prophesied about in the Bible. I know these sound like preposterous concerns. How could a movement that seems so unorganized and mismanaged do so much damage? The answer to that is the reason I wrote this book. For behind this new kind of worship, this new kind of church is a strategic apostasy and maneuver by the prince of this world, the enemy of our souls, to literally take apart the faith of millions—it will be nothing less than faith undone.

Joe Francis, Founder of Girls Gone Wild, I Am Just Like Jesus

This is about the most pathetic piece of garbage I came across in a long time. Joe Francis, the founder of girls gone wild, has been arrested on various accounts of filming under aged girls. He has also been charged with tax evasion, caught with illegal prescription drugs in jail and tried to bribe an officer in jail. In a Fox News interview, with Greta Van Susteren, he is being targeted because of what he does and that he has done NOTHING wrong. He goes on to describe how he is being mocked by the other inmates and how he fell down and a priest helped him up and asked him, do you ever think about Jesus. What was his response, "yeah everyday because just like Jesus I am innocent." Bring me the barf bag.

So I decide to head over to Greta's blog and post the following, I had some nasty responses to what I said. I think there were at least 3 people who said who am I to judge. John 3:16 is not longer the most popular verse quoted nowadays but Matthew 7:1 Judge not, that you will be judged. But people miss the meaning of the verse and use it soooo out of context. My favorite response is do you believe in the court system? Should we not judge murderers and rapists? God is telling us if we are doing the same thing then who are we to judge.

Here is my post:
Mr. Francis you make me want to vomit when you compare yourself to Jesus. Sir you are not innocent nor are you sinless. You exploit women and are a cancer to society. You provide no benefits to this world with your videos and I can only imagine how many marriages you have impacted in a negative way. I hope they convict you to the fullest extent of the law. It is funny how the Bible is always true. Your sins will find you out and what you sow is what you will reap.

However, you have an opportunity to repent and turn towards Christ. He was willing to die for your sins and pay your debt. He offered up His ultimate love as the Bible says in 1 John 3:16 By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.

Mr. Francis you are nothing like Jesus. You are not innocent, you have not laid your life down for those who hate you, you are not sinless. I would highly suggest you get yourself a Bible and read it and find out who Jesus really is before you make more silly statements.

You can overcome this and ultimately death and have eternal life. Who is it that overcomes? 1 John 5:5 says, "Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?" Turn and repent and you will be saved.

Sometimes I wonder just how lost our society is and that there are people sticking up for this garbage.

Bush: All Religions Pray To Same God??

How many people in America believe what the president says about God. Does he have any idea what the heck he is talking about?
'That's what I believe. I believe Islam is a great religion that preaches peace' ....Really? hmm that is why they hate Jews, Christians and Americans and want to destroy us? I don't get it.

What else does our president claim:

"Well, first of all, I believe in an Almighty God, and I believe that all the world, whether they be Muslim, Christian, or any other religion, prays to the same God. That's what I believe. I believe that Islam is a great religion that preaches peace. And I believe people who murder the innocent to achieve political objectives aren't religious people, whether they be a Christian who does that – we had a person blow up our – blow up a federal building in Oklahoma City who professed to be a Christian, but that's not a Christian act to kill innocent people.

I wonder if he really means it or is someone forcing him to write this trash? Or is this truly his lack of Biblical Truth. They BOTH CANNOT BE TRUE. One claims Jesus is God who rose from the dead and Islam states he was just a good prophet and never died on the cross. All of Christianity hangs on this one event to be true.

Just a simple cursory look at Christianity vs Islam shows that the two religions are in complete opposition.

Prosperity Gospel Continues

Our church has been studying through the book of Acts for the last year, I keep wondering how these prosperity teachers explain why Paul wasn’t living in a mansion being chauffeured around in his limousine eating finger sandwiches with Grey Poupon mustard.

Paul’s life was anything but the life of worldly pleasures and worldly prosperity. But we know he was rich in spiritual blessings. Lets read from 2 Corinthians 11:24-29

24 From the Jews five times I received forty stripes minus one. 25 Three times I was beaten with rods; once I was stoned; three times I was shipwrecked; a night and a day I have been in the deep; 26 in journeys often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils of my own countrymen, in perils of the Gentiles, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren; 27 in weariness and toil, in sleeplessness often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness— 28 besides the other things, what comes upon me daily: my deep concern for all the churches. 29 Who is weak, and I am not weak? Who is made to stumble, and I do not burn with indignation?

I wonder if it Paul didn’t have enough faith? Maybe if he had sown some more $77.77 seeds of faith to the local evangelist he would have been blessed more and God would have given him that special secret he always desired.

Or maybe if he would have read Joel Osteen’s heresy book on Your Best Life Now he would have faired much better. But I digress. Check out these two video clips for a good laugh. One is completely a spoof and sadly the other one is not. Check it out.

Wolf In Sheep Clothing

Again more false teachings and misuse of funds from false prophet Kenneth Copeland. Mr. Copeland is a word of faith preacher claiming Jesus wants to make you material rich as well as spiritual rich. Also if you are sick God will heal you if you have enough faith. Here are a bunch of ideas that Mr. Copeland has taught on. You can make your own evaluation of his teachings. but according to my bible he is a heretic. Also at the bottom is a video of how they are misusing funds with their 20 million dollar airplane which is suppose to be used for ministry only.

Experience Over The Bible

This is an interesting video how people are willing to put the bible aside and rely on their on experiences. I would be way too afraid to rely on my own heart and not check it against what the Bible says. In this video John MacArthur address letters sent to him by people that tell him their own personal truths are more important than the Bible.

This is just another ratchet against objective truth. Objective truth does not rely on my feelings. Objective truth comes from the Bible; its how I compare my heart to God’s truth.

UUCB - There Is No Truth

Wow, I knew the unitarian church was an APOSTASY but this is absolutely frightening. I think Oprah would really enjoy it though. Take a look at their “vision” statement:

And if you want to see even more twisted truth check out this video. They exemplify the new movement of the Emergent Church. This is what Christianity is moving towards and I am so frightened by it. We are to accept everyone’s own individual truths. Forget OBJECTIVE TRUTH it is meaningless and we can never know it. I never hear the word of Jesus!

Gospel According To Oprah

Do you think Oprah is going down the path of the narrow or wide gate. Matthew 7:13-15

13 Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. 14 Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.
15 Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves.

Take a look at this video from the Oprah show. Again the world tells us one thing but the true and living God has another way.

Unfortunately Oprah’s idea that all religions lead to heaven is blatantly wrong. Anyone with a cursory understanding of the major world religions knows this statement is false. Let’s listen to what Jesus said himself. John 14:6 Jesus said, I am the way the truth and the life and nobody comes to the Father accept through Me.

I would have loved for the lady who tried to speak up to have quoted this verse and see what Oprah would say about it.

We could spend days on Oprah’s blasphemous theology. She is going to be held accountable for these kind of statements to her millions of viewers.

Wow I see nothing about obeying God if you love Him, self sacrifice, deny yourself and serve others. According to Joel it’s all about me and what makes me happy.

I wonder if he is truly a wolf in sheep’s clothing. I wonder if he really worships the same Jesus I read in the bible. Or is he making up his stuff as he goes along? Is he serving the world or serving God?
